🔬 The 5 Most Important Supplement Interaction Rules
①Calcium blocks zinc and iron — never take calcium, zinc and iron together. They compete for the same intestinal transporter. Separate by at least 2 hours.
②Vitamin D3 always needs K2 — D3 increases calcium absorption; K2 (MK-7) activates proteins that direct calcium to bone, not arteries. This is not optional if you take high-dose D3.
③Berberine + metformin = hypoglycaemia risk — both lower blood sugar through AMPK. Combined without medical supervision can cause dangerous blood sugar drops.
④Vitamin C enhances iron absorption — take iron with vitamin C for best absorption. If iron-overloaded, avoid high-dose vitamin C with iron supplements.
⑤Probiotics and antibiotics must be separated — take probiotics 2+ hours away from antibiotics. Start a quality probiotic during and 2 weeks after any antibiotic course.
